Sand birdhouse and wipe with tack cloth or damp paper towel.

If your birdhouse does not have a “silo”, create one! Cut dowel to fit size of your barn. Sand to gently round one end. Glue dowel onto side of barn. Make sure “silo” extends about 2″ above roof edge. Let dry thoroughly.

Paint “barn” red, the base brown or black, and roof and silo grey.

Paint simple windows with black paint, outline in grey.

Paint doors and decorative front with grey paint.

Varnish with acrylic varnish.

Glue your accessories onto front of barn.
